甘肅張掖七彩丹霞景區發生一起多人破壞丹霞地貌事件。8月28日，七彩丹霞景區一名工作人員證實多名遊客闖入景區破壞丹霞地貌，目前當地國土局、警方已介入調查，地質專家正在對被破壞處進行評估。
發現，踩踏丹霞地貌抖音視頻已被刪除。該景區相關負責人表示，調查後將發布情況說明。
此前，甘肅張掖七彩丹霞景區經營開發部李姓部長稱，景區內的丹霞地貌形成於侏羅紀白堊紀時期，表面由細砂岩和泥質岩構成，極易被風化侵蝕，「很多遊客誤以為它和普通山體一樣，但它其實是類似古化石一樣的存在」。她表示，為了保護丹霞地貌，景區方面在門票、旅遊大巴、觀景棧道上都設有保護山體的溫馨提示，但旅遊旺季時，部分遊客為達到理想拍攝效果無視景區提示。針對此類行為，景區計劃在明年年初實行遊客實名制購票，不文明的遊客將會被拉入景區黑名單。

2012年7月31日，我們抄3人租車特意從西寧襲前往張掖，去臨澤觀賞七彩丹霞。到了景區門口，天色已經有些晚了。被告知60元/人的票，匆忙買了要抓緊時間進景區。票拿到手後才發現是每人2張票，其中一張是景區門票，40元/人，另一張是景區內觀光游覽車，20元/人。問售票員，並表示我們不坐觀光車，只想在附近轉轉。售票員說，都這么晚了，如果你們不坐車上去什麼都看不到了。當時感覺說的也有道理，便進景區上了車，四個觀景台只匆匆看了兩個。一個要爬較高的山，講解員說時間不夠，沒能看到，另外一個天色已經黑下來了，也沒能看到。
